Super Moon November 2016

I took a few pics of the "Super" Moon on 13 November 2016. This was the day before the big event, but the sky was clear when I got my camera set up.

A photo of the Super Moon taken from my garden. Camera Canon 7D; Lens: Sigma 50-500mm at 500mm; ISO: 200; Aperture: f/10; Shutter Speed: 1/250s.

There is actually very little size difference between the normal moon and this so called Super Moon. For comparison, here is a picture of the Red Moon I took last year. The Red Moon was in the west and the Super Moon in the east, but the declination was roughly the same.

The start of the eclipse leading up to the Red Moon. ISO: 800; Aperture: f/6.3; Shutter Speed: 1/1600s.

Please note that these pictures have not been cropped.
