Student Candids
The University of Pretoria has many pretty young ladies on its campuses. Being a member of staff, I had the opportunity to take pictures of some of these young ladies - as candids and semi-formal posing. In the posing shots, I let them choose the pose they were most comfortable with.
In order to take these pictures, I often followed the maxim of my Internet friend, the late Yuri Pautov - he always said: Just ask them if you can take a picture, the worst that can happen is that they say no.
Most of the pictures shown here were taken with a Canon 350d and the 18-55mm kit lens.
Liana
One of the tasks that I had at the University was to run computerized psychometric testing for the Student Services Unit. During that time I worked with many psychologists, including Liana. Liana was not a student, but a member of staff.
Liana has the most stunning eyes I have ever seen. Every time I see them, I still feel a weakness in the knees.

Hanlie
Hanlie worked as a tutor for me on one of the courses I presented. Like Liana, she has gorgeous eyes.

Telephoto lens photos
I took these surreptitious photos while testing the really awful Canon 75-300mm lens. The lens has a nice range, but the image quality leaves a lot to be desired.
Masurik (I seem to recall that she was a rag princess)

Sony F707
My first digital camera - I really enjoyed using this camera to take candid pictures. Because of the camera's design, it was never very obvious that you were taking pictures!
